I called this afternoon and was unable to be connected to you and allowed to leave a message. It has not been returned. Are you aware that the President of Michigan Brain injury Association made a statement that has been published in at least a half a dozen places referring to those injured not wearing helmets to be left like road kill!
I am so offended by Michael Dabbs, that this president of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, is referring to those not wearing helmets as road kill!
I am demanding a formal resignation from Mr. Michael Dabbs and a public apology by your organization! Regardless of if a human being decides to wear or not wear a helmet it is absolutely unacceptable for another human being to refer to another as road kill! This is tragic and unprofessional behavior at best! I have published this demand on my blog and am forwarding to other blogs as well! I will publish your response as well.
I have cc'd my attorney in reference to this horrific statement and demanding immediate action be taken by the Brain Injury Association Of America.

I just wrote to the BIAMI and demanded a public apology stating: "If Mr Dabbs does not publicly apologize I will join others in demanding his resignation". I then posted on my FB Wall for others to share.

I've added my two cents here:
How insulting and demeaning for the president of the Michigan Brain Injury Association to refer to helmetless riders as "roadkill".
We riders demand an apology and a resignation! As the editor of *Bikerbits* eZine for the past 15 years that compiles daily motorcycling news items and articles relating to accidents, injuries and/or deaths, I can tell you that there are almost as many riders who die or become brain injured who are wearing helmets as those riders who are not wearing helmets!
If he thinks helmets are so beneficial, then why isn't he pouring his efforts into making it so NHTSA certifies more than 4%? That DOT testing is done at more than 13.7- 15 mph? That helmets are tested at more than one point of impact? That helmets are put through the paces until they are proven to be a legitimate piece of safety equipment?
His statement is vile, opinionated, unfounded, and insulting to all the educated riders on the road!
