TWO Gold Coast bikies will remain behind bars after being charged with a string of weapons and drug offences.
One was arrested twice in a week after police allegedly found guns and drugs in his house on both occasions.
Lone Wolf bikie sergeant-at-arms Shane Treloar faced Southport Magistrates Court on 19 charges, while Black Uhlans gxxg member Nathan Fearnside appeared on five unrelated charges.
Treloar, 38, was first arrested on June 14 after police allegedly found a stolen revolver, ammunition, drugs, cash and stolen driver's licenses at his Upper Coomera home.
The court was told he was arrested again a week later after reporting to Coomera police station as part of his bail conditions.
Officers from anti-bikie squad Taskforce Hydra accompanied him back to his home where they allegedly found a rifle hidden in a kitchen cupboard, more ammunition and drugs.
Police opposed bail, saying Treloar had been given probation for weapons and other offences in 2010 only to breach it, and was an unacceptable risk of failing to reappear in court.
Defence solicitor Darren Mahony argued that Treloar had a stable history with strong ties to the Gold Coast and may not necessarily go to jail for the weapon offences.
But magistrate John Costanzo said that far from a stable personal life, Treloar was a recidivist offender with a history of flouting court orders.
Mr Costanzo noted Treloar had been convicted of offences including weapons possession, going armed in public so as to cause fear and assault.
He said Treloar was a 'totally unacceptable risk' and remanded him in custody until September 5.
Fearnside was arrested yesterday after a fight with a man at a local tavern.
Police searched his home and allegedly found 9mm handgun as well as drugs.
He was remanded in custody until next week when he is expected to seek bail.
