UPDATE 4.25pm: A MOTORIST who was allegedly drunk and speeding when he hit and killed a biker has been charged with culpable driving.
The 32-year-old Pakenham man is believed to be a father of two.
He was charged on one count of culpable driving in the Dandenong Magistrate's Court today.
He has been remanded in custody to appear again in the Melbourne Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Police have alleged he was travelling at more than 140km/h when he struck the motorcylist on the Princes Highway in Longwarry, near Warragul.
And he is alleged to have returned a blood-alcohol reading of .14 last night.
It is understood he has two children aged four and nine months.
The charges follow an interview at Warragul Police Station late this morning.
His father, brother and sister left the station shortly before 10.30am.
The tragedy unfolded after the police van allegedly spotted a white Toyota Hilux allege speeding Melbourne-bound on the highway about 10.40pm last night.

Police allege they pursued the Hilux until it struck the motorcycle travelling in the same direction.
The impact knocked the rider from the bike. He died at the scene.
The rider was identified this morning as a 34-year-old from Mooroolbark.
