New Mexico - SANTA FE - The Bandidos Motorcycle Club, the target of law enforcement off and on for years, now is taking aim at Santa Fe police. Members of Bandido Nation are threatening to sue the city, saying police would not allow them to take part in September's Fiesta de Santa Fe celebration while clad in their iconic biker apparel. The group alleges in a tort claim notice that members were "excluded from the Santa Fe Plaza on the basis of their attire and ethnic backgrounds without reasonable cause or justification." Mike Schmitt II told the Journal earlier that the group was simply partaking in fiestas and minding its own business. Santa Fe police Capt. Tom Wiggins said he couldn't comment on specifics, but said police for several years have been cracking down on gangs.
