An alleged senior member of the ‘Nomads’ outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged with intimidation and breach of bail by officers attached to Strike Force Raptor.
Officers were told two men were leaning on a van parked in Glenmore Park on Saturday afternoon when a nearby resident approached them to discuss the matter.
Officers will allege the two men then threatened the resident who subsequently reported the matter to police.
Early this morning, officers attached to Strike Force Raptor attended a home in Glenmore Park, arresting a 28-year-old man alleged to be a high-ranking member of the Penrith Chapter of the Nomads.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with intimidation and breach of bail. The man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
A second man, alleged to be an associate of the Nomads, later attended Penrith Police Station and was charged with intimidation.
The 29-year-old man was granted conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on 27 April.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad two years ago and is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
