Strike Force Raptor officers have today arrested and charged a member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang following the seizure of a commercial quantity of drugs during a warrant at St Marys last year.
About 8.15pm on 29 July 2010, several people were allegedly involved in a robbery in company of employees of a tattoo shop in King Street, Newtown.
As a result of inquiries made by Strike Force Raptor detectives, officers executed a search warrant at a unit in Glossop Street, St Marys, on 11 August 2010.
During the search police will allege they located and seized 448 grams of amphetamine in a plastic bag. The drugs and plastic bag were sent for forensic analysis.
As a result of the analysis police identified a 26-year-old man, alleged to be a Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Vice President.
The man was today arrested and charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at Penrith Local Court on 25 March 2011.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad and is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
