1) I just got a quote from a tree trimmer for wood chipping some brush Josee & I cleared. The guy said the federal, state, & local government take (which included both taxes and the cost of regulatory "compliance") cost him $86 on every $100 he made. He was ready for "the system" to collapse.

2) Someone here fed up with the City's repeated non-response to clearing the roadside drainage ditch on his street told me he collected 50 pounds of the debris and had it shipped to the head of the City's public works dept. He told me he also had other plans for the City but did not elaborate.

4) Now that the TSA has stepped up their intrusive behavior to the point of either looking through clothes with x-rays or sticking their hands where they have no business, many people are starting to whine about it. Think about this for a minute because it's the Totalitarian Tip-Toe in action. Inch by inch, step by step, the government kept getting closer and closer, more and more intrusive, until now it has reached the point where it is actually disrobing people and goosing them. This finally got people's attention, but now it's too late.
