OKLAHOMA CITY-- Veterans Day is a special day set aside for those who have served nationwide in the military.Several Veterans Day ceremonies were held in their honor, including one at the state capitol.More than 300 bikers drove to the capitol, then helped lay a wreath at the Oklahoma Veterans Memorial across the street from the capitol.Organizers say they were glad to see so many people paying their respects."It's the veterans who granted freedom of speech, freedom of religion. Without them half this country would speak Japanese, the other half would speak German," said Jackie Robinson, Vietnam Veterans of America. The event was organized by A Brotherhood Aiming Toward Education (ABATE) of Central Oklahoma. This was the 14th year for the ceremony to take place.
