ROGERSVILLE - The Christmas season will officially roll into Rogersville Saturday with the annual Christmas for the Children Toy Run and Cruise In.
The ninth annual toy run is sponsored by the Wheels of Faith ministry and Of One Accord ministry.
The Christmas for the Children Toy Run, for motorcycle riders, and the Christmas for the Children Cruise In, both held be the same day, same time and at the same place, raised approximately $5,300 last year. The toy run drew 278 motorcycles, with 50 cars registering for the cruise in.
If you don't have a car and don't ride a motorcycle, you are still invited to come and enjoy the excitement. The band Exit 33 will be there to provide musical entertainment, with an auction of a denim Harpy-Davidson jacket and a Tour Master rain suit scheduled to take place during the concert.
Participants in the toy run are scheduled to meet at Rogersville's Big Lots parking lot at noon and ride to Church Hill's Homestead Antiques beginning at 12:15 p.m. At 1 p.m. the motorcyclists will leave Church Hill and travel through Goshen Valley, arriving back at the Rogersville City Park shortly before 2 p.m.
The cruise in will take place at the park, with with registration and set up until 1 p.m.
The cost to ride in the toy run or to participate in the cruise in is a suggested new unwrapped toy or $10.
