Actor Emilio Rivera, co-star of the hit cable TV series “Sons of
Anarchy” will present the “Noisemaker Award” to playwright and filmmaker
Richard Montoya at the annual Lummis
Day fundraiser and award dinner on Saturday, April 25, 6:30-10:00 pm at
the historic Highland Park American Legion Hall, 227 North Ave 55.
The event will feature a storytelling performance by veteran actor and
artist Troy Evans (co-star of the Amazon’s new hit TV series, “Bosch”),
music by RT n 44’s, a buffet dinner provided by many of Northeast L.A.’s
favorite restaurants plus beer, wine and soft drinks.
Event tickets are available via Paypal at the Lummis Day website, www.LummisDay.org, at Galco’s Old World Grocery and Antigua Coffee House for $35 per person (or at the door for $40.) Tables for ten are available for $300. All funds will support the tenth annual Lummis Day program. All food and beverage is included with admission.

This year’s Lummis Day Festival, the 10th annual event, will take place on June 5,6 and 7 at five Northeast L.A. locations: Mariachi Plaza in Boyle Heights, Lummis Home in Montecito Heights, the Southwest Museum in Mt Washington, Sycamore Grove Park and the area surrounding he new York Boulevard Park in Highland Park. As always, admission to all festival events will be free of charge.
