Deland FL ABATE of Florida is attempting to revoke the lifetime membership of motorcycle rights Hall of Fame member John "Rogue" Herlihy for allegedly making comments that ABATE considered "untruthful and derogatory, and generally harmful w the good of ABATE." In a letter dated July 13. 2011, Larry Crow, PA for ABATE of Florida informed Rogue his membership was terminated. Rogue is a free lance writer for Paisano Publications (Easyriders, Biker and In the Wind) is a life long motorcycle rights activist, and is a member of the 2005 Sturgis Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame, for the past several years. Rogue and ABATE of Florida President Doc Reichenbach have waged a public feud over various MRO issues in Florida. The latest confrontation is centered around a mutti year grant from the State of Florida (funded from a fee on motorcycle registrations) that exceeds over $1 million dollars. Supporters on both sides are gearing up for a protracted legal battle.
