Rival Loners gang members are showing their colours in Peterborough.

CLIFFORD SKARSTEDT Examiner file photo The Examiner has learned that members of the rival Loners biker gang scuffled with members of the Outlaws biker gang at the Outlaws clubhouse at 126 Park St. S.

The Examiner has confirmed that the Loners biker gang is making appearances in the city, despite the presence of rival motorcycle group the Outlaws.
The Examiner has also learned that the two groups were involved in a melee at the Outlaws' Park St. S. clubhouse last week.
No one at the clubhouse was willing to talk about the issue.
Det.-Sgt. Len Isnor, with the OPP's biker enforcement unit, couldn't confirm if the dust-up had taken place.
He did say authorities are well aware of the presence of Loners in the city.
"We know the Loners are back in town," he said.
The Park St. clubhouse, located just north of the YMCA, was the subject of a police raid about three weeks ago.

Acting on a tip, members of the city police emergency response team and the biker enforcement unit raided the property Oct. 28.
Officers arrested one person for possession of marijuana and seized a number of items from the clubhouse. No further charges have been laid.
Insp. Tim Farquharson said city police haven't received any complaints about a possible assault or incident at the clubhouse.
If no complaint is made, there's little police can do, he said.
Farquharson wasn't that surprised to hear that members of the Loners were in the city and said city police had similar information.

The Outlaws first made their presence in the city known in November 2010, when police set up a barricade outside their new clubhouse on Lansdowne St. W.
That clubhouse shut down when the group moved to the Park St. S. location.
