Stillwater, Okla.) -- A former Cushing teenager has been ordered to appear in court Dec. 7 for a preliminary hearing on a charge of possessing a stolen 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle -- which he allegedly got at a biker rally by trading $2,000 worth of cocaine for it.
Dylan Joseph Henson, 19, has been held in the Payne County Jail since his arrest on Oct. 21 by Yale Police Chief Philip Keeling, who said that the motorcycle had been reported as stolen from Holley's border bar in Bryan County on Oct. 13.
"Mr. Henson stated he traded an ounce of cocaine for the motorcycle. He stated he was at a biker rally in Sherman, Texas.
"He stated he traded approximately $2,000 worth of cocaine to a member of the Banditos Biker gang for the motorcycle. He stated he does have a bill of sale for the bike and did not realize the bike was stolen," the Yale police chief wrote in an affidavit.
Henson, who formerly lived in Cushing, but listed his residence in Colbert on court documents, was arrested after being spotted speeding on the Harley and driving without a license north on Norfolk Road and Charleston Road, the Yale police chief alleged in an affidavit.
"Further investigation revealed the subject had a warrant for his arrest out of Tulsa County," the Yale police chief's affidavit said.
If convicted of possessing a stolen black Harley motorcycle on Oct. 21 that had been taken on Oct. 13, Henson could be given a five-year prison term and a $5,000 fine, according to the charge filed by Payne County First Assistant District Attorney Mike Kulling.
