You need one of these Baggers

http://www.nhra.com/blog/smith/

This past weekend we did a little something different. We debuted our new Pro Mod bike at the ADRL race in Rockingham, N.C. Dan Parker of Parker Chassis built the bike. The bike is very different. It’s a bagger style Pro Mod. It has the traditional look of a bagger but runs like a Pro Mod. We tested in Charlotte on Thursday with a new fuel injection system. The new system is a Haltech Injection System. Steve Nichols and Eric introduced me to the system. It seems to be working well with our new nitrous-injected Bagger. In testing we were mainly doing 60-foot launches to get the nitrous to activate. All in all, testing went as we had planned.

We loaded up and headed to Rockingham for the ADRL race. The first three qualifying passes we were still working out the bugs of the Nitrous system. Matt and the guys stayed up working on the 2-step for quite a while. On the 4th run, which was Saturday morning, we finally got the bike to make a decent pass. I went 4.43 at 158, which is a great baseline for our Buell Bagger. We didn’t get into the show, but fortunately, we made a lot of headway with our new Nitrous program. My dad made an awesome run on Saturday as well to start the race from the #3 position in Pro Nitrous. As my dad was getting ready for 1st round of eliminations the rain came. Eventually it ended the race and it was postponed until the Norwalk event. We had a blast running the new Bagger Buell. Just want to express a very special thank you to Robby, Justin, Dan Parker, Steve Nichols, and Eric Gash. Everyone worked countless hours on this bike to get it for us. I am excited to say that two more bikes are being produced and all will be shipped to Qatar for the QRC Racing Series. The QRC Racing Series will begin in December in Qatar. A special thanks to Sheikh Khalid for exploring in the Pro Mod category. It’s going to be lots of fun.

The NHRA Charlotte Event is two days away. We have been getting our motors together to race at our home track. It’s just an hour away from home. We absolutely love racing this event every year because many close friends and family always join us. Our fan base at this track is phenomenal. So if you are coming to the Charlotte event make sure you come and visit us at the Coffman Tank Trucks and Al-Anabi trailers.
