Wisconsin, Harley-Davidson turns down $25 million in tax credits

Many companies are taking advantage of state tax credits to stay in Wisconsin. Motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson isn't one of them.
Harley turned down $25 million dollars in tax credits because by taking them, the company wouldn't be allowed to cut jobs in Tomahawk and Milwaukee.
Even though the credits weren't accepted, Harley Executives say they have not changed their plans to keep manufacturing in Wisconsin, where it has more then 3,000 employees.

COMMENT BY,

Way to go Governor Walker. Might as well change the State's motto from forward to BACKWARD. You just upped your threshold from the 250,000 new jobs you promised to 255,000 for the 5000 jobs you just "TUBED". Illinois workers and taxpayers say THANK YOU you ideologically trapped idiot. Your concept of job creation is as bankrupt as your trickle down theory of economic development.
I hopeyou have comfortable knee pads. You'll need them when kneling before your new corporate masters like Harley Davidson. Despite record cash levels and operating income, they want Bangladesh wage levels and work rules in Milwaukee and Tomahawk. You are the sucker they've been waiting for.
