An alleged outlaw motorcycle gang associate will face court today after a man was glassed at a hotel in Canley Vale last week.
About 2.39am on Thursday 5 July 2012, a 31-year-old man allegedly struck a 26-year-old man in the face with a glass at a hotel on Canley Vale Road.
The older man left the premises.
Police from Cabramatta Local Area Command and other emergency services attended the location.
The 26-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with numerous cuts and swelling to his face.
About 12.10pm yesterday, police arrested the 31-year-old man at a home on Anderson Avenue, Liverpool and took him to Cabramatta Police Station.
A search warrant was conducted on the home and police allegedly found two firearms, two spear guns, ammunition, cash and a small amount of white powder.
He was subsequently charged with reckless wounding and affray.
The man, who is alleged to be an associate of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 11 July 2012).
Investigations are continuing and it is expected that further charges will be laid.
