Alabama - BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Three of four members of the Devils Diciples Motorcycle Club living in Alabama, who face various criminal charges related to a nationwide FBI investigation of the group, were granted bond today by a federal magistrate judge in Birmingham.
The judge said he would decide later whether to grant bond for the other biker, who was described by federal prosecutors today as the gang's National Warlord responsible for "organizing attacks on other motorcycle gangs and enemies."
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert R. Armstrong ordered that Michael Kenneth Rich, aka "Tatu"; Dean Edward Jakiel, aka "Jesus"; and Tony Wayne Kitchens, aka "Trouble," can each post $50,000 in bond and be released from jail. The men are to be in Michigan for a hearing on Friday. Michigan is where the indictments were filed.
Armstrong, however, said he wanted to talk to the U.S. Probation Office and review the charges in the indictment before issuing a ruling on whether 53-year-old Cary Dale VanDiver, aka "Gun Control", should also be granted bond.
