Lorain County receives traffic safety grant

By MORNING JOURNAL STAFF news@MorningJournal.com LORAIN — The Lorain County General Health District received a grant for $65,000 to be used to improve traffic safety in Lorain County.
The funds, awarded by the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Office of Criminal Justice Services, will be used to strengthen law enforcement efforts within the county.
“Partnerships are critical to the success of any effort and we are committed to working with law enforcement and other safety partners to address traffic concerns in Lorain County,” said Health Commissioner Kenneth Pearce.
Priority areas that will receive increased monitoring include: seat belt use, impaired driving, motorcycle safety, and youth drivers.
