In brief: Outlaws club closes until obtaining permit

A Johnstown club occupied by a motorcycle gxxg has been shut – at least temporarily – by city codes officials.

The American Outlaws Association club on Cooper Avenue does not have an occupancy permit, said Jim White, city community and economic development director.

A permit application has been submitted, White said, and officials will schedule an inspection to determine whether the facility is up to code.

Until that happens, the club cannot operate. But White said construction activity is allowed in the meantime.
