AUSTRALIA - Jury considers fatal bike airport brawl verdicts

OFF THE WIRE
The jury in the trial of seven men charged over a fatal bikie brawl at Sydney Airport have been told to be fearless and impartial in reaching their verdicts.
After a four-month trial in the New South Wales Supreme Court, Justice Robert Hulme today summed up the case before the jurors retired to consider their verdict.
Six Comancheros bikies, including their leader Mick Hawi, are on trial for murder after Hells Angels associate Anthony Zervas was fatally bashed and stabbed with scissors in 2009.
A member is also on trial for riot and affray.
Justice Hulme told the jurors to approach some of the evidence with extreme caution, because it was based on accounts of single witnesses.
He told them not to let emotion to cloud their judgement.
But he also told the jury to make their own assessment of the witness accounts and security camera footage.
Justice Hulme noted that one of the prosecution witnesses had testified that one of the bikies had shouted "You are a dead man walking" as he arrived at Sydney Airport.
The accused men sat side by side in the dock today, wearing suits and ties.
