Police have arrested and charged a bikie gang member near the Bandidos clubhouse in Seven Hills over drug and firearm related offences.
About 11.10pm on Saturday Strike Force Raptor officers stopped a Suzuki Vitara leaving a function at the Bandidos clubhouse at Seven Hills.
Police said that during a search of the vehicle they located and seized a quantity of cannabis and a quantity of other restricted substances.
In the boot of the vehicle, police also found a loaded .32 calibre semi-automatic pistol and ammunition.
A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene. Police allege he is a member of the Bandidos gang.
He was charged with possession of a prohibited drug, two counts of possession of a prescribed restricted substance, possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, possession of an unregistered, unauthorised pistol in a public place, possession of an unauthorised pistol, possesion of an unregistered firearm and possession of ammunition without holding a licence or permit.
He was refused bail and appeared at Blacktown Local Court on August 21, where he was refused bail to re-appear at Blacktown Local Court on September 2.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009 and is a proactive, high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
