SizeAAASPOKANE, Wash. -- A Pend Oreille County woman is trying to find out who stole her late husband's ashes, which were kept in an urn made out of a Harley Davidson gas tank.
Debbie Plunkett says it was the perfect place to put the ashes of her late husband, Carl Jackson, who died of cancer in 2001.
Plunkett said it only made sense to put his ashes in the gas tank from his custom built bike.

Plunkett held the tank close to her heart until someone stole it from her home. Carl’s daughter Chelsey Jackson discovered it was missing last month.
“When I opened it and I realized it wasn't in there, I just started looking through her whole house,” Jackson said.
The women think whoever broke in, knew about the urn as the other half of the gas tank and matching fenders were also stolen. Right now the women just want their husband and father returned.
"That was made for him. Something he loved, something he cared dearly about and it meant a lot to us," Jackson said.
“It has a lot of sentimental value, to me and my girls. We just want it back," Plunkett added.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call the Pend Oreille County Sheriff's Department.
