Increased enforcement in motorcycle, bike safety this weekend

The Bakersfield Police Department would like to remind local motorists that with warmer weather, more motorcyclists and bicyclists will be sharing the roadway with them.
Please drive with caution at all times and look out for motorcycles and bicycles, especially when making turns or lane changes. Motorcyclists and bicyclists are reminded that they are subject to the same rules of the road as any other vehicle.

Additional Bakersfield Police Department traffic officers will be on the streets this weekend to enforce Vehicle Code sections pertaining to motorcycle and bicycle safety.
