Please pass along this info to any agency you have contact with. Thanks.

Attached are pictures of motorcycle floorboards which are common on Dresser or cruiser motorcycles. Officer Mike Lynes developed this information and has forwarded this information to me. These are motorcycle floorboards that are actually hidden compartments. They are produced in Utah by a company named Convict Custom Choppers. The company is out of St. George. They are actually housed in a business named Red Hills Rods & Choppers. They sell custom cars and motorcycle, and are located off to the right of the I-15 freeway as you start to drop into St. George. According to the Det. There was a large number of these ordered to hold hand guns. I am sure they are on bikes in Utah. I have never heard of this chopper builder. These floorboards could also be used to hold drugs or other contraband. As the weather improves and more motorcycles are out be aware of this item. Officer Lynes has also developed reliable information over the past year that outlaw motorcycle gangs are growing in Utah and influenced by out of state gangs. It is likely that these products will be seen on motorcycles in West Valley soon. A floorboard with a locking mechanism or that appears thicker than normal should be a red flag. If you should see these on a motorcycle you stop please try to get photos and consent or probable cause to look in them.
