I want to take a moment to update you on an important legal decision made today by a federal judge in Virginia regarding the health care law. U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson declared a key provision of the Obama administration's health care law unconstitutional because of an individual mandate provision requiring every American to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty. I've said all along that Congress overstepped its constitutional authority by forcing individuals to purchase health insurance whether they want it or not, and I hope today's ruling will act as a springboard for eventual full repeal.
