Mt Eden's Brentwood Ave is returning to normality after a high-profile police raid of the Hell's Angels headquarters last Thursday morning.
The raid unfolded at 7.30am and properties in Napier were also searched in an operation that netted methamphetamine, crossbows and $20,000 cash.
Two Auckland men were among 10 people arrested.
A 39-year-old south Auckland debt collector and Hell's Angels gang member, Kishor Chandra Singh, appeared in the Auckland District Court last Thursday on charges of possession, supply and conspiracy to supply methamphetamine over the past six months.
Mr Singh was remanded in custody.
A 38-year-old Hell's Angels member was also arrested for obstruction during the search.
Items found during the operation include four grams of methamphetamine, $20,000 cash, two batons, three crossbows, scales and small plastic bags used for dealing drugs.
A Harley Davidson motorbike has been seized by police because it was allegedly used for drug dealing offences.
On the day of the raid a man arrived in Brentwood Ave around 10am on his motorbike and watched the address for a period of time.
He became aggressive towards a cameraman who was recording across the street from the headquarters.
The man could be heard talking on his mobile and arranging legal advice.
Neighbour Sarah Robson, who is visiting Auckland from Wellington, was woken by loud bangs at 7.45am.
"I looked out the window and saw armed police scaling the fence. Then I heard two loud bangs. It was all over relatively quickly."
She was surprised at the number of ladders used to scale the wall.
Flatmate Anna Duckworth says there's never been any problems with the Hell's Angels two doors away.
"Now and then there's police driving past but they're respectful and pretty much the ideal neighbours."
Napier area commander inspector Kevin Kalff says the arrests are the result of an intensive two-month operation focusing on the distribution and selling of methamphetamine in Hawke's Bay.
Police allege the drug dealers arrested have been buying large quantities of P from the Hell's Angels in Auckland and selling it from a suburban house in Napier.
"This was a well-organised group with strong gang connections in Auckland. It is indicative of a thriving drug trade that reaches into every corner of New Zealand and is not just confined to the big cities."
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to methamphetamine to contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
