Sons of Silence motorcycle club member attacked in Longmont home
OFF THE WIRE
LONGMONT -- Longmont police on Tuesday arrested two men suspected of attempting to kill a member of the Sons of Silence motorcycle club in his home, according to Cmdr. Jeff Satur of the Longmont Police Department.
Stanley Glade, 37, and Justin Wade Jeske, 39, were arrested in Weld County on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, aggravated robbery, felony menacing and second-degree assault in the morning attack.
Satur said the 50-year-old victim suffered head injuries and other lacerations. The victim reported to police that he heard his doorbell ring at the 100 block of East Fifth Avenue at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and when he answered the door, the two men rushed in and began to beat him with a screwdriver and part of a motorcycle.
One of the men who attacked the victim had reportedly been kicked out of the motorcycle club, Satur said.
During the fray, the victim was able to escape from the men and hide in a bedroom. The men then left his home after stealing several items, police said. When the men were arrested, police recovered many of those items.
A friend took the victim to Longmont United Hospital, and police were called.
Police are continuing their investigation.
