Two people were arrested early Saturday morning after a North Platte man was badly beaten outside a biker club near 7th and Jeffers.
Josh Crewdson, 33, suffered cuts, a fractured jaw, broken teeth, a separated shoulder and sprained ankle, he said Saturday afternoon. Crewdson said a half-dozen or so attackers beat him after an argument escalated. The argument started inside. The fight moved out the front door and into a nearby parking lot, leaving a 60-foot-long trail of blood drippings.
Adam Sheesley, 29, and Tori Renee Chrisman, 33, were arrested and jailed at 5 a.m., charged with aggravated assault. Chrisman was also charged with strangulation. Both are held on $15,000 bonds. The investigation is continuing, Sgt. Jeff Foote said.
Foote said police responded to a call at 4:18 a.m. to the building, which operated by a motorcycle club and/or affiliates.
Crewdson said he ended up at the club after he left a private party after bars closed around 1 a.m. A couple people invited him to go to the bike clubhouse. After Crewdson got there, he said he bought a couple beers, paying $3 each.
He said the fight began with a misunderstanding.
“One guy accused me of doing something with his girl but it turned out to be a mistake and he later apologized,” Crewdson said. “I’m sure my mouth was a factor. I’m sure I said something someone didn’t like, but it was a misunderstanding. I was trying to settle it with one guy, and basically they pushed me outside and worked me over. I think there were 4-5 of them. I don’t remember everything, but I remember getting kicked in the head and in the side. At one point I was on my knees in the parking lot and someone came in and knocked my teeth out.”
“I wasn’t physically dong anything. The gang apparently thinks it’s okay just to beat someone.” he said. “Is this going to happen to someone else?”
“This is not what North Platte is about,” Crewdson’s friend Rick Heglin said. “These bikers aren’t veterans. It’s basically an after-hours bar where people go to drink.”
