LAS VEGAS -- Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson says he will not charge the Henderson Police Sergeant who kicked a man in the head during a traffic stop.
The decision was announced at 1:45 p.m. Originally, the district attorney did not charge Sergeant Brett Seekatz because he did not feel the charges would stand up in court.
The incident happened in October 2010. Adam Green was pulled over by a police officer on suspicion of being a drunk driver. Officers pulled him from the car, then began kicking and kneeing him because they felt he was not complying with the order to stop moving.
It turned out that Green was not drunk but was actually in diabetic shock. The city of Henderson and the state of Nevada settled with Green for nearly $300,000.
