Indonesia - Police, Navy join forces to monitor Jakarta biker gangs...

The Jakarta Police and the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) have dispatched a joint team comprising around 250 police and military personnel to combat a recent chain of armed motorcycle-gxxg attacks throughout Central and North Jakarta.
Since 9 p.m. on Friday, the team's personnel have been on standby at the Central Jakarta Police station to monitor gang-prone areas.
The areas in Central Jakarta under protection include Jl. Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, Salemba and Jl. Pramuka. In North Jakarta, they are focusing on Pademangan and Warakas areas.
The string of motorcycle-gxxg attacks began on April 7 at Sunter in North Jakarta and continued the following day at Kemayoran in Central Jakarta, before the latest series of attacks on April 13 across Central and North Jakarta.
Two people have died as a result and dozens of others have been injured.
Central Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Angesta Romano Yoyol said that the joint force was a mixture of personnel from highway police, patrol units, provost units and Navy military police, tempo.co reported.
