A police forensic officer examines the ute belonging to an alleged Hells Angels' bikie, after the car's owner drove to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with two gunshot wounds.
A HELLS Angels bikie gang member shot overnight in suburban Adelaide was attacked by a fellow member of the same gang, police say.
The Angle Vale man, 29, managed to drive himself to the Royal Adelaide Hospital emergency department with gunshot wounds to his chest and arm.
Police said he was shot while driving his white Nissan Navara ute just after midnight in Croydon Park, close to the intersection of South Rd and Regency Rd.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening, but police said he was expected to be in hospital for some time
This morning, crime-scene forensic investigators at the hospital examined the ute, which had been sprayed
with gunfire, before it was towed away.
"This is not a random incident, we believe it is targeted," he said.
He said the shot man was from the North Crew chapter at Mansfield Park, and that he was driving south on South Rd, away from home.
Police did not know where he was headed, Mr De Candia said.
Police are also investigating a house in Croydon Park at the intersection of South Rd and Minerva Cr.
Anyone with information about this incident should contact BankSA Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.sa.crimestoppers.com.au.
Crime Gangs Taskforce office in charge Detective Superintendent John De Candia said the incident was a dispute between two Hells Angels members and was not linked to any other bikie gangs or past feuds - or interstate shootings.
