SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- A local college professor accused of running a meth ring and outlawed motorcycle gxxg has pleaded not guilty.
Steve Kinzey, who taught at California State University, San Bernardino, is charged with several counts, including conspiracy and street terrorism.
The 43-year-old is accused of being the president of the local chapter of the Devils Diciples motorcycle club.
Authorities said they found drugs, guns and body armor when they raided Kinzey's San Bernardino home. Kinzey was not home during the raid, but his former student and live-in girlfriend, Holly Robinson, was in the house. She was arrested for her part in the alleged drug sales.
Kinzey was considered a fugitive when charges were filed against him this month, but he avoided arrest by having a bondsman post his bond.
His father testified Friday that he provided a portion the $300,000 bond and that the money was not associated with his son.
A judge set an Oct. 27 hearing to consider prosecutors' request to raise Kinzey's bond to $425,000.
