A FORMER Newboys bikie member wanted on firearms charges since 2008 has been arrested in Perth.
The man, now an alleged Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang member, was arrested after leaving a Comanchero motorcycle gang clubroom in Perth on Friday evening.
Police allege the man fled Adelaide after conflict escalated between the Newboys and rival bikie gang Hells Angels.
Police say he was seen carrying a semi-automatic pistol in the waistband of his tracksuit pants at the Intercontinental Hotel (formerly Hyatt Hotel) on Saturday, July 12, 2008.
He appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday where SA Police sought his extradition to South Australia.
In 2009, the Comanchero bikie gang was involved in fatal incident with the Hells Angels at Sydney Airport, which saw Comanchero bikie boss Mahmoud "Mick" Hawi charged with the alleged murder of Anthony Zervas, brother of senior Hells Angels member Peter Zervas.
