Michigan HB 4747 (CLEAN BILL) House vote tomorrow.

Just got back from the House Regulatory meeting regarding HB 4747,our helmet law repeal bill that is totally clean.

We had almost unanimous support from the committee members with the exception of two who we have always gotten NO's from. The insurance idiots were there, as well as the SMARTER old farts, and they got their 2 minutes which appeared to be quite boring to the reps. Motion to present the Bill for passage passed. Will be voted on tomorrow around noon or so in the house.

It is entirely expected that this bill will pass in the house and senate, and it is expected that ammendments will try and be attached, aaaaand it is expected Granny Granholm will veto again. What is not expected is a good chance of a veto overide because of all the lame duck legislators who support us not having anything to lose. This is being worked out behind the scenes and is not public fodder at this time.
