Australia - TEMPERS flared yesterday as bikie Darrell Vincent Cross' time on the stand was shelved until Monday because his defence counsel called for another witness' testimony at the Brisbane District Court.
The Warwick Bandidos Motorcycle Club identity faces two charges, which include dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and serious assault of a police officer, but his defence counsel raised concern as they believed there was a discrepancy in the evidence.
Cross' family has supported him since his trial began on Wednesday and yesterday was no exception as more supporters joined the bandwagon and queued for a seat in the public gallery.
It is alleged Cross tried to run down an Oxley District Police Traffic Branch Senior Constable during routine vehicle speed checks at Moorooka Brisbane while perched on a 300kg Fatboy Harley Davidson motorcycle on April 23 last year.
The officer suffered arm, abdomen and groin injuries.
