The Bulldog Bash, which takes place at Shakespeare County Raceway, Warwickshire, looks set to smash attendance records as pre-event ticket sales hit an all time high for the Silver Jubilee.

Bulldog Bash Organiser Bilbo Commented “ It’s great to see the Biking community and music lovers supporting the event in such numbers; we have fought hard to keep the event in Warwickshire and won thanks to an open minded and forward thinking local Council. Now its time for the people that have supported us to enjoy the party – We will continue to support Warwickshire, charities such as Stratford Rotary Club and Help For Heroes , the people of Stratford and communities surrounding the site that have all rallied behind us to keep the event at Long Marsdon.”

This year’s annual Bulldog Bash sees three of the biggest names in British musical history set to rock the festival to its very foundations, as Status Quo line-up along side the inimitable Bad Manners and The Damned. Quo front man Rossi said of their forthcoming return to the Bash’s main stage: " We love playing the Bulldog and it's fair to say that we are delighted to be back. It's one of the liveliest shows that the band play anywhere on the circuit and we're looking forward to giving the crowd a serious Quo rocking! "

There are loads more bands to see over the weekend of the Bulldog Bash. Live entertainment is one of the festival’s cornerstones, and this year won’t disappoint on that front. More than 35 live bands are set to appear, over two stages.

If you thought the Bulldog Bash was all about booze, long hair and live rock music, you’d be wrong - This year there’s a major-league line-up of DJs rocking the dance tent once the sun goes down, including none other than Lady Ga-Ga’s best friend and DJ, Lady Starlight.

Lady Starlight’s rare UK appearance in her own right is bound to be a roof-lifting set, full of hard rock and glamour. She’s been voted New York ’s best female hard rock DJ, and now she’s coming to a field in Warwickshire. It’s time to leave your preconceptions at the gate and immerse yourself in a set from one of the biggest rock DJs in the world.

The dance tent will be heaving and bouncing all weekend, with a full list of DJs too long to mention here. However, highlights include a set from organiser Jock Dreadstar; who’s calling the shots from Birmingham based dance promotersE:VOLVE, the return of Bulldog favouriteRiggsy, dark beats from Shenton, plus big beats from Strange Dave & Livewire.

The Bulldog Bash’s indoor custom show is always a treat for visitors to Warwickshire’s enormous biking festival.

Celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year, the variety of custom creations on display is expected to be as wide as usual, with anything from bobbers, trikes, streetfighters, and choppers taking on stunning classic bikes vying for the coveted Best in Show award.

One of the true joys of the Bulldog Bash is enjoying a cold beer while breathing in the stench of burnt rubber drifting across the Shakespeare County Raceway’s dragstrip on a hot summer’s day. This year’s annual celebration of all that’s good about bikes, bands, beer and babes, will be bringing the glory of drag racing to the masses – and the true beauty is that you can get involved!

The Run Wot You Brung (RWYB) competition takes place all weekend, giving you the perfect opportunity to prove that your bike WILL crack a sub-10 quarter-mile, or that your clutch really was on the way out, as the unusual aroma of scorched clutch plates rises from your engine… The superbly surfaced Raceway is open for RWYB runs between 9:30am and 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and between 9.30am and 1pm on Sunday.

There’s also a whole weekend of action and entertainment to look forward to on the drag strip - Midlands based, British stunt ace, Craig Jones will be attending to wow the crowds, with his own mental stunt show and an attempt to beat his own world record (set in 2006) for the longest two-man stoppie, which currently stands at 305 metres .

The drag strip is also hosting some top displays from professional stunters Terry Grant and the Vertical Trix Team over the weekend. Add to that the Pro-Stock Drag racing, Top-Fuel Bikes and Cars, The Outlaw Anglias, Jet cars, and much more hurtling up the strip. Put aside a few hours to soak up the atmosphere and breathe in the fumes… then rock the night away in the music tents.

Sprinkle in some must-see attractions, like Saturday nights huge anniversary firework display, the Ken Fox ‘Wall of Death’ show, live Strongman competition and an ‘extreme’ fairground full of white knuckle rides, an adult entertainment zone and a massive village of trade stalls selling all kinds of biking and alternative lifestyle kit.

If you had plans for the weekend of August 11-14, cancel them now - The Bulldog Bash takes place annually at Shakespeare County Raceway, Nr Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, gates open at 2pm Thursday, August 11 and it’s non-stop entertainment right through to noon on Sunday 14.

Tickets will be available on the gate at £70 for the entire weekend, including camping and live entertainment – you just need to bring your beer money!
