AUSTRALIA - On the trail of 10 of the worst

OFF THE WIRE
BRADY HAMILTON was a high-ranking member of the Comanchero outlaw bikie gang before fleeing his Sydney home.

It was just two days after the battered body of another gang member, Peter Ledger, was found dumped outside a house in Erskine Park in August 1999. Ledger had been involved in a dispute over the swapping of a Triumph motorcycle and a Harley-Davidson chopper. The gang's enforcer, Ian Raymond Clissold, had been ordered to sort the matter out.

Clissold and Hamilton, and a third man, allegedly dragged Mr Ledger from a house after Clissold beat him with his fists. One of the other men stood guard with a meat cleaver.

Mr Ledger was allegedly bashed by the trio at another location before his body was left in the driveway of his estranged wife's home.

Clissold, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter at his trial, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for his role in Mr Ledger's death. Hamilton has been on the run since. Now 43, he has just been added to the top 10 most wanted list of the NSW Police.

Another addition to the list is Mahmoud Challouf, 26, wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and extortion of a Greek Orthodox priest from a Surry Hills church in 2008.

The gunpoint abduction of Father Filippos Apostolopoulos was linked to a drug deal debt. The priest, who was later released unharmed, was an innocent victim unrelated to the deal.

The other new names on the list include Lesley David Galway, 42, for allegedly running an illicit drug laboratory out of his home in Grose Wold, near North Richmond. Police allege that Mr Galway manufactured a commercial quantity of methamphetamine-based substances.

Anthony Scott Nalder, 28, is wanted in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl and a subsequent police pursuit.

Police want to talk to the heavily tattooed Badr Youseff Tawk about alleged break-and-enter and domestic violence offences in Auburn last year.

Another on the list is James Dalamangas, a suspect in two killings, last believed to be working as a bouncer in the red-light district in north Athens. He is wanted for questioning over the 1999 stabbing death of Bankstown father-of-two George Giannopolous at the Pariziana nightclub in Belmore and the execution-style shooting murder of part-time Kings Cross club bouncer Tim Voukelatos in his car at Campsie in 1997.

Malcolm John Naden, 37, allegedly strangled Kristy Scholes, a 24-year-old mother, in Dubbo in 2005. Mr Naden is also a suspect in the disappearance of his cousin Lateesha Nolan. He is also wanted over alleged links to an aggravated indecent assault of a 15-year-old girl in 2004.

Former chiropractor Warwick John McEwen, 67, is wanted in relation to 45 alleged child sexual assaults committed more than 25 years ago in Campbelltown.

Mohamad Maksoud, 32, was allegedly involved in a car rebirthing operation. Police say Anthony Morgan, 44, committed indecent acts on five girls, aged 12 to 14, in western Sydney in 2009. He allegedly exposed himself to girls at Merrylands, Parramatta and Burwood.

The Deputy Police Commissioner, Dave Owens, said while they were working to track the 10 men down, police wanted the public's help.
