In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The Statement of Purpose from the Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. And had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo.
Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

We're interested in ending a reality where those Democrats whine endlessly about 3% cuts in sequestration, and how onerous those cuts are, while non-military government agencies spend billions on over 2 billion rounds of ammunition. The U.S. Army bought 600,000 AK-47 magazines last fall, even though the 7.62x39mm ammunition those magazines hold is not standard issue for the U.S. military or NATO. Ask yourself why the U.S. Department of Education needs to buy Glock pistols and Remington shotguns while the Obama Administration is highlighting school shootings as a reason to roll back your Second Amendment rights.
In the meantime, the Democrats who support this kind of nonsense are ready to give Obama even more power, with Sheila Jackson-Lee saying that her newly formed caucus's number one priority was writing executive orders for Obama to sign. Democrats want Obama to be our Putin, and they want to usher in an era of unprecedented political power for their backers. They don't give a damn about the two million working Americans they're about to put out of work with Obamacare by 2017 according to a recent CBO report.
They care about power as the means to their corrupt ends, where the next, bigger economic crisis and the fraud underlying it goes unprosecuted and unpunished. They want their enablers in the banking community to go unprosecuted as Big Banks launder billions for drug cartels, while individuals seeking medical marijuana for their cancer or glaucoma face federal prosecution and raids at dispensaries from the DEA.
