THE State Government says the state should deal with outlaw bikie gangs, not the
commonwealth, because the commonwealth can't even deal with asylum-seeker
boats.
Queensland Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie says the state will
soon have its own unexplained wealth laws to help hit bikie gangs in the hip
pocket.
The new laws are due to be debated in Queensland parliament
today.
Mr Bleijie says the state, not the federal government, should be
dealing with organised crime and outlaw bikie gangs.
"How can
Queenslanders have confidence in the federal government's ability to deal with
this issue," Mr Bleijie said in a statement.
"They can't stop illegal
boats, how can we expect them to stop outlaw bikies already here?"
