Today Internet Goes On Strike...........

OFF THE WIRE
 Cyril Huze
Today Wednesday January 18th, thousands of sites are dark in protest against SOPA & PIPA, two US bills racing through Congress that threaten prosperity, online security and freedom of expression. I show my support with the black ribbon “Stop Sopa” that you may have noticed  on the top right corner of my website. If you want to learn more, just click on this black ribbon.

I think politicians should wear firesuits like NASCAR drivers, that way we could see who their corporate sponsors are. Media giants and Hollywood spent 95 million buying, I mean lobbying, congress to pass sopa. It’s written under the guise of stopping Internet piracy, but what it really does is block innovation and legal competition from Internet start ups. They paid congress to keep out competition. Guess we’ll see how many of our free market capitalist loving congressmen and women say one thing and do another!

SOPA is just like gun laws. It will only effect those who are doing things the right way. The ways to get around the proposed NS blocking are numerous and quite easy.

Ahh Congress! Doing what they do best: turning good intentions into a quagmire with far-reaching consequences. Remember the Lead Law that affected ATV and dirt bike sales? Hope they vote this sucker down!

The irony here is so thick you can cut it.
You deleted my Billy Lane post because I said I would not spend a dime of my money with anyone sending him parts. There are plenty of deserving young builders out there who who behaved far more responsibly.
