A second alleged member of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) has been arrested in Sydney following investigations into a brawl at a Victorian licensed premises last month.
The brawl happened about 2.30am on Sunday 18 December 2011 in Melbourne with four victims suffering various injuries after being seriously assaulted by a number of men.
Detectives from the Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit located three persons of interest in Sydney and called on the assistance of their NSW counterparts.
Yesterday (Wednesday 4 January 2011), NSW Police Force officers from Strike Force Raptor, the Gangs Squad and the Public Order and Riot Squad, executed three search warrants and arrested one man. He faced Parramatta Local Court yesterday.
About 10am today, a 29-year-old Mount Druitt man alleged to be a member of the Comanchero OMCG attended Parramatta Police Station.
He was placed under arrest and charged by virtue of a Victorian arrest warrant for numerous offences of violence to face Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.
Inquiries into a third Sydney man are continuing.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009 and is a proactive, high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
