The pot question

OFF THE WIRE
Re:'De-criminalize marijuana'.
It is hard to believe that in the age of Google and smart phones, people still use archaic terms like'de-criminalize'.
De-criminalize is a non-word meaning a non-thing. It is a word that people use to deliberately cloud the issue -- much like saying someone is'anti-pregnant'.
Wake up, Canada. Nothing is sort of legal but also kind of not. Something is either legal and regulated, or it is not.
"Should we decriminalize pot?"raises the question;"Well, what do we mean by'decriminalize'exactly?"
The real question is, should we: A) regulate pot like we do with other products or should we: B) leave it unregulated and controlled by teens and heavily-armed gangsters?
Only someone as bent on making people suffer as Stephen Harper is, would choose"B". No sane person would.
