LAKE COUNTY -- On Sunday at about 7 p.m., Joshua Leo Johnson, identified by the Lake County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) as the vice president of the Hells Angels, Sonoma County chapter, surrendered at Hill Road Correctional Facility on a felony warrant carrying a $500,000 bail.
Johnson remains in custody pending a bail hearing on a hold placed on him by detectives. The hold requires him to account for the origin of his bail.
The warrant was secured after a two-month investigation following a June 4 incident at the Konocti Vista Casino. It is alleged that Michael Burns, 39 and Kristopher Perkin, 48, were beaten by four Hells Angels gang members. LCSO states that Burns, is a validated member of the Vagos Motorcycle Gang. According to LCSO, "Burns was beaten viciously in the attack." The incident was recorded on the casino's video surveillance system.
LCSO stated that the Hells Angels motorcycle gang members in the video were believed to be from Sonoma County.
Members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Santa Rosa Police Department Gang Task Force and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department Gang Task Force identified the four Hells Angels members who were alleged to have committed the beating.
The suspects were identified as Joshua Leo Johnson, 35, David Daniel Dabbs, 41, Nicolas Felipe Carrillo, 32, and Timothy Robert Bianchi, 33.
Arrest warrants and search warrants were obtained for the suspects. On Aug. 25 SWAT teams from the
FBI, Santa Rosa Police Department and the Petaluma Police Department assisted LCSO detectives in serving the four arrest warrants and search warrants.
Carrillo and Bianchi have been arrested. Bianchi was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery, fighting in a public place and a gang enhancement. Carrillo was charged with battery, fighting in a public place and a gang enhancement. Both were booked into the Sonoma County Jail, each with $500,000 bail.
Dabbs is still at large and is sought by law enforcement. He is also sought on a no-bail warrant out of San Diego for alleged kidnapping and torture.
The LCSO stated that Dabbs should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach or attempt to apprehend him.
