OFF THE WIRE
Hey Everyone,
Remember in my last Legislative report I spoke about some good news? Here is the first one - The $250,000 for promoting motorcycle safety awareness to the general public has been included again in the new budget. The budget is now on the desk of Gov. Rick Scott and if he signs the budget bill, ABATE of Florida, Inc. will again be allotted the money for educating the general public about motorcycle safety awareness.
Some people are not aware that every single penny of the $250,000 that ABATE of Florida, Inc. spends is audited by an Independent program and reported back to the DHSMV to make sure that ALL the money goes toward educating the public about motorcycle safety awareness.
Below is a the section that details the safety money in the budget. I will explain more about the spending and auditing process in my next update.
