PATTERSON — More than 800 motorcycle riders came from all over California Saturday morning to Patterson for a memorial ride in honor of Juliani Cardenas. Although most of the riders had never met the 4-year-old, they were each wearing a blue and yellow ribbon in his honor.

"There's no reason that he should've died like that," said Joe Chavez.

Just before the engines revved and the bikes rolled down the road to Modesto, Juliani's grandmother, Amparo, thanked everyone for their support, "Maybe my grandson from above will bless you all, because he's an angel. I bless you all and your families and your babies and my heart is full of love because of all of you."

Proceeds from the ride and from a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Modesto went toward the Juliani Cardenas Memorial Fund, which will help pay for the young boy's funeral expenses.
