Aim WAY up the road watching for tall trucks and
vans swerving in their lane to avoid things in the road.
Last month Caltrans picked up tons and tons of small
items off the freeways and about 50 mattresses, 20 ladders
and a dozen stoves and refrigerators. Last MONTH!
Keep a good following distance. Keeping a good two
or three second following distance will give you the time
and space to avoid things in the road.
Constant surface appraisal can help you keep the
shiny side UP!
