MASSACHUSETTS - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OFF THE WIRE
MMA UPDATE: Senate Bill 2204 - Right to Repair

Representatives of the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association (MMA)
were at the State House on Thursday April 26, 2012 the day Senate Bill
2204 with all amendments was scheduled to be heard before the full
Senate. After a very brief discussion on the bill, the Senate via a
voice vote postponed further debate until May 10, 2012.

According to Senate Rules this is the last time debate on this bill
can be postponed so it should definitely be heard and voted on that
day. We strongly encourage all riders to continue to call, fax, and
send letters to your respective Senators even if you have already done
so; if you haven't yet it is even more important that you do. Remember
to tell them you support the bill as written with Senator Richard
Moore's amendment. Please also tell them that you do NOT support
Senator Thomas P. Kennedy's amendment that would exempt motorcycles
entirely from this bill. Also, please remember that this bill sits
before the Senate so please contact your State Senator, not your State
Representative. We will issue additional information and instructions
at a later date if necessary.

To find your State Senator please go to
 http://www.malegislature.gov/People/Search
  and type in your address.

For more information concerning this matter please contact MMA
 Chairman Dave Condon at chairman@massmotorcycle.org
