Different Rules for Cops then us Australians hmmmmm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OFF THE WIRE
The City Central Local Area Command posted this on their page on Facebook in response to all the questions regarding theVictorian copper photographed using his Mobile Phone.
We've received a number of enquiries about a photo of a police officer in a Victorian Police car talking on a mobile phone. We understand your concern...s about police upholding the law and want to offer some clarity. In NSW, drivers of police vehicles are exempt under Rule 305 of the Road Rules 2008. Police officers may need to receive information about a job over their mobile phones for operational reasons, just as they might need to
increase their speed to get to jobs without activating warning devices. That's not to say officers have an excuse to breach the rules in every circumstance - where possible, they will comply with all Road Rules. They
are also rigorously checked against our Safe Driver Policy. Here is the link to the legislation. Thanks for all the questions seeking clarification.

COMMENT,
in this real world.police... polititions..are exempt from most rules we are governed by.......it is OK to lie... cheat ..steal...misrepresent funds....defraud the general public....shoot and tazer people...and in some cases kill...with blatant disregard ..of the laws and rules they make..and enforce.and thats about the size of it.
