EUREKA POLICE: September is Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Month

Eureka Police say they will be out in full force the entire month of September to monitor and improve motorcycle safety. They say they want to continue seeing the downward trend of motorcycle related accidents locally over the last few years. Extra officers will be on duty patrolling areas where motorcycle and car crashes alike are frequent. They’ll be looking for drivers and riders who are being unsafe. As of January 1st of this year Eureka Police Officers have had 10 motorcycle crashes… 5 people in those crashes were injures… one has died.
