Residents living near the Hells Angels headquarters in the Auckland suburb of Mt Eden, have received a written apology from police.
Brentwood Avenue residents were stopped and photographed during a gang's 50th anniversary celebrations at the beginning of the month.
The letter thanks residents for their cooperation and goes on to say they apologise if any residents were inconvenienced by checkpoints at either end of the street, but hope residents understand the need for them.
One resident, Mikey, says it's quite nice to get the letter.
